now the 'extension' cord i was using for my keyboard went bad, since this keyboard is on a 'splitter' for mouse and keyboard, i was able to use some old KVM cables for the keyboard, (the kvm itself died) plus with all the HD failures etc, i don't really need a KVM anymore.
correction, the cable is fine, the problem is the 'keyboard' (my newer one too, which i had fixed) it was for unknown reasons winding up with keys getting stuck as pressed, to the point of causing massive bios beeping, not to mention, making the keyboard unusable.
I guess i shouldn't buy cheap crap from wal-mart. this keyboard came from best buy, but still was a cheaper model.
