McCain Push-Polling on /., Shouldn't there be editor action?

So, i load up a recent article, and see this push poll on the page, reading "Is it OK to Unconditionally Meet With Anti-American Foreign Leaders?". Push-Polling is one of the most intellectually dishonest forms of campaigning, purposefully spreading ignorance and prejudice.

I would think our fine overlords at /., a site for "nerds", supposedly intelligent clientele, would demand that any campaign materials which make it onto their site contain intellectual integrity and factual accuracy.

This is quite disapointing

  • Speaking to the editorial staff here I don't think you would find a more receptive audience. Unfortunately, due to the nature of Google advertising (which, even here, comprises a good portion of ads) there is very little we can do, preemptively speaking, when it comes to unsavory ads that have been targeted to either our subject matter, or even our site specifically.
